Opposition proceedings to a standstill in the Raja Sabha on Wednesday by repeated demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi be brought to the Upper House to make a statement on the conversion of a row that has been chopped national newspapers over the past few days.

Minister of the Union Parliament M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday accused the opposition is blocking business Raja Sabha, saying the whole country is watching.
"The whole country is watching. They block house is completely unacceptable," said Naidoo, adding that people are waiting for the passage of important bills. "We are not guilty, we are ready for all kinds of discussions," said Minister further.
Earlier, senior government ministers Union met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday to discuss the strategy to be adopted in the Parliament. They included Arun Jaitley, Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah find and Nitin Hadkari.
