West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday hit the ruling Bharatiya Janata (BJP) government to target it for Saradha cheat fund scam and claimed that there are many other scams worth a thousand crore rupees, but no arrests made has been done so far.
"Saradha scam began in 2006, but our government came to power after 2011 ....... not only in Bengal, there are scams in other countries where there is no arrest has been made yet," said Mamata media here.
"It sa five-year-old case ........ We created a judicial commission, we gave back the money to five people after a full recommendations of the commission, but that did not happen elsewhere," she added,
The main TMC is also supported by her party MPs to raise their voice in parliament and said it was perfectly normal.
Mamata also questioned the BJP for calling for discussion in the future of the Supreme Council for fraud Saradha.
"Let them (BJP) to do this, there are other scams also ...... Criminals should be arrested, but there are other scams in which no one was arrested," she added.
West Bengal Minister Madan Mitra Transport was yesterday made to aliporskoy court in connection with the scam Saradha.
Taking strong exception to the arrest of Mithras in connection with this scam, Mamata earlier called his arrest "illegal and unconstitutional".
